Reconnection steps for Enphase Gateway or Envoy-S

Sunline Energy

Have you recently made any changes to your internet service provider, WiFi equipment, or password? If so, you’ll need to follow the “RECONNECTION STEPS” below.

If you did NOT make any changes to your internet provider, equipment, or password….please skip ahead to the “NO CHANGES MADE” section below.

RECONNECTION STEPS ENPHASE GATEWAY

We’ve included a couple of helpful links below. We recommend watching the video first because there is one very important step that is shown in the video that is not listed in the steps. And that’s to go into your WiFi settings on whichever device (phone, tablet, laptop) you are going to use and FORGET THE NETWORK (your home’s WiFi network) that your device is currently using. We know this seems counterintuitive but it’s only temporary, you can reconnect to your home’s network once you are finished with the reconnection steps.

NO CHANGES MADE TO INTERNET

If you haven’t made any changes to your internet, we recommend power cycling your Envoy communications gateway to force reconnection. Inside of the Enphase combiner panel that was installed near your electric service panel (or possibly inside your garage), there is either a 10amp or 15amp circuit breaker in the middle of the Enphase combiner panel that powers the Envoy communications gateway.

Before resetting the Envoy breaker, you’ll first want to verify which LED lights are illuminated on your Envoy. You should have at least 2 green lights, indicating solar power production. If so, please proceed with turning the Envoy circuit breaker to the OFF position, wait 10 seconds, then turn the breaker to the ON position. Your Envoy reboot process will take 3-5 minutes and it will try to reconnect to your WiFi network.

If you’re having trouble with the reconnection steps, we recommend contacting Enphase Customer Support at (877) 797-4743 .

Best recommendation to follow these steps if you cannot get communication back online if you desire to have a technician get out to fix the problem will be an additional charge. Labor cost for the truck roll is $350.00 which covers an hour, after half hour will be $80.00. Please contact Sunline support department at (858) 263-1732

RECONNECTION STEPS FOR ENPHASE ENOVY-R

It looks like your Envoy has been disconnected from the internet, meaning that the production is not being reported. The system is most likely still producing, we are just unable to monitor the production until the Envoy is reconnected.
Enphase has created detailed written and video step-by-step instructions in order to help you reconnect your Envoy R to the internet, which I’ve included below. This does not affect production, but we recommend reconnecting and checking on the system once a week to avoid any lapses in production.
