Why Go Solar in San Diego?

Sunline Energy Solar Power San Diego
San Diego County is considered to be one of the top solar cities in the nations according to Environment America. Our weather makes San Diego a perfect place for this type of renewable energy. Solar panels are becoming extremely popular in San Diego homes and businesses. With solar energy, you can also help restore balance to your utility bills, especially during those hot summer days. You can also enjoy energy savings, while adding property value to your home and reducing your carbon footprint all at the same time.
When you install a solar power system you will harness the power of the sun, and become less dependent on yearly rising prices set by SDG&E.

How Much Will Solar Save Me?

It all depends but let’s say your monthly SDG&E bill is about $300 a month and you install solar panels, instead of paying $300 to the utility company you can pay $150 to your financing company, if financing is the right option for you. Instead of paying the yearly increase of 5%. Adding solar panels will be saving you money and working towards ownership of your solar panel system.

Solar energy systems work best for San Diego residents that have high energy bills and who own a single-family home. The higher the utility bill, the more you will benefit from solar. Things like an air conditioner, a pool pump and a hot tub will cause energy bills to rise quickly. It’s not uncommon to see an energy bill be $300-400 a month.

Do I Qualify For Solar?

Here are some simple qualifying questions.

Do you own a home?

Adding panels to a home that you don’t own is not beneficial.

Does your roof have any obstructions?

Anything from a chimney and pipes can obstruct the placement of your solar panel. Solar panels work from sun exposure and if your roof has excess shading due to trees around the home, you might want to consider trimming them to allow more sun exposure.

How’s your roof strength?

It’s important to have roof stability and strength. If not we also offer roofing services in San Diego, to help with any roofing issues.

Hear From Our Customers

“It’s been more than a month since our solar has been operational and I can’t stress enough how grateful we are for choosing Sunline Energy for this project.

Our first interaction with Sunline was with Matthew to give us a quote. We had about 4 other quotes but he was the only one that actually took his time explaining all the details of the project to us. He was very knowledgeable of every product Sunline has to offer. We also never felt the “pressure” to go with their company from him. He kept in touch through email/texts and was very prompt with every response, Cc’ing others that have the need to know to keep them informed as well. Seeing this, I know that the communication within their company is great.

When I had a question that is not in-line with Matthew’s expertise, Alex (Project Manager) was always there to provide clarification with the details of our project.

Liz/Jacob kept in touch with updates and timelines through email. From site survey, estimated installation dates, HOA approval, forms that need to be submitted and all other administrative aspects of our project, we were informed and assisted all the way through.

Wade and Sinti were our installers. I could not express enough how professional these two gentlemen were. From the very first roof tile removed, all the way to the last flip of the switch to turn on the system, they were very meticulous with the job. I did not once ever felt that they forgot to do something or that they were rushing the job. Everyday they cleaned up after themselves and even offered to dispose of tiles that will not be used. They also both expressed to me how much Sunline is taking care of their people.

With our unique World situation due to the Covid pandemic, I was worried that there would be a delay on our install. Sunline did a great job keeping us posted with what’s going on and still managed to get our project completed as per schedule.

When we got the Permission to Operate, Morgan emailed us to schedule a tele-walkthrough on how to install the Enphase application and navigate through it. He was well versed with the app and answered all of my questions. The app is user friendly and shows every detail of the system.

Now that our system is up and running, I am very pleased with how it’s going so far since it’s producing more than what was initially projected. I highly recommend Sunline to anyone looking to go green.

Roof Mount – is a traditional mounting way for solar panels, especially when installing solar panels in San Diego, CA since yards can have very limited space. Solar panels are faced south as much as possible to capture the most sunlight.

Ground Mount – If you have plenty of property space but limited roof space or have roof obstructions, a ground mounted solar energy power system will be the best choice. When your solar panels can’t produce energy on cloudy or rainy days, having a home storage battery can draw power instead of having to draw from the grid.

Why Install A Home Battery Storage?

It will maximize your solar investment. Your home will become more self-sufficient and even avoid having to deal with power outages. You can have more control over your energy, especially during your peak hours. Give yourself more independence from your San Diego utility company.

ITC reduces the cost of your solar panel up to 26%. This incentive is available in San Diego, CA and the rest of the U.S.

The program is to help promote solar power and reduce fossil fuels. It’s a great benefit as it allows solar customers to get a reduction on their taxes up to 26% of the total cost of the solar power system installation.
